2024 ANNUAL CHARITABLE GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Washington D.C. Metro Area Chapter of the Fort Valley State University National Alumni Association, Inc. is pleased to announce the start of our annual charitable golf tournament for 2024. This year’s golf tournament will be played back at Pohick Bay Golf Course, 10301 Gunston Road, Lorton, Virginia on Friday, June 7th. The shotgun time is 9 am.

We would love to have them come out and support this worthy cause in support of student scholarships and tuition assistance programs for DMV students attending Fort Valley State University. The format is the typical 4-person best ball (Captain's Choice). Get ready to participate in the "high stakes" putting contest with a guaranteed winner of a top-notch vacation prize for two? How about trying your luck in our in the Winner's Board Raffle where you'll have an opportunity to win a variety of over 30 premium prizes including golf items and other merchandise for men and women. And of course the 50-50 Raffle to win a pocket full of cash.
Registration is open through May 31st. The Registration rate for a single golfer is $135. The Foursome registration rate is $500. Registrants will incur payment processing fees for online credit card transactions via the PayPal gateway. The total payment amounts, including payment processing fees, are annotated for each selection.
Registration includes a round of golf, cart, range balls, lunch, non-alcoholic beverages, and complimentary gift bag. Team prizes this year will consist of the following:
1st Place men's and women’s teams will receive trophies and gift items;
2nd Place men’s team will also receive trophies and gift items;
2nd Place women’s team and 3rd Place men's and women’s teams will only receive designated gift items.
Additional tournament competitions include Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin prizes for male and female golfers.

We strongly encourage golf participants to fully utilize the online registration options to minimize in-person payment transactions on the morning of the tournament.

New sponsorship opportunity to provide commemorative gift bags for golfer registrants–a $300 contribution, which includes payment processing fees.

ALUMNI CHAPTER GOLF POLO SHIRT
Back by popular demand! We will be selling our golf chapter polo shirt for our annual golf tournament. The polo shirts are Nike dry-fit. The color of the shirt will be white with the FVSU Washington DC Metro Area Alumni Chapter branding on the front and the iconic clocktower on the sleeve in our alma mater’s Royal Blue color.
The cost of the, male or female, shirt(s) are $40.28 (includes sales tax) for sizes Small to X-Large and $42.28 (includes sales tax) for sizes XX-Large to XXX-Large. To purchase your shirt for the tournament, you MUST SUBMIT your shirt form. Then, you can either CashApp or Zelle your payment to Laura Grier. Both your shirt form submission and payment MUST be completed, in order to, purchase one. Shirts will be available at our annual charitable golf tournament for pickup. If you're unable to be in attendance, we will mail your shirt.
